ln 1963, there was momentum of enthusiasm in India to celebrate Swamiji' s birth centenary. On the occasion, some respectable persons and followers of Swamiji namely Sri Jagadish Chandra Mondal, Sri Pulin Krishna Purkait, Sri Ajit Kumar Bose, Sri Pulin Behari Naskar, Sri Anukul Chandra Sardar. Sri Panchendu Bhusan Naskar. Sri Netai Chandra Sardar, Sri Provash Chandra Mondal, Sri Hirendra Nath Das., Sri Anath Das made up their mind to establish a voluntary organization for the very welfare of people. One of them Sri Anath Das donated 15 decimals of land in favour of the organization. They in its first meeting decided to select the name of the organization"Shree Shree Sarada Ramakrishna Ashram". ln 1968, it got registration under societies act 1961, West Bengal and started vocational training i.e. weaving, tailoring, bee keeping etc. The first secretary was Sri Ajit Kumar Bose, then Sri Prabhas Chandra Mondal, Sri Jagadish Chandra Mondal, again Sri Prabhas Chandra Mondal were changed in rotation. Present secretary Sri Gour Chandra Hazra is acting as chief functionary. Meanwhile in 1970 the Ashram came in contact with Ramakrishna Mission Lokshiksha Parishad, Narendrapur and got involved in social works. Our organization is affiliated to Ramakrishna Mission Lokshiksha Parishad, which is our role model.
